Tiësto’s new album Kaleidoscope Remixed is a reworking of Kaleidoscope, his fourth artist album that includes a stunning collection of songs written and recorded in collaboration with a variety of music talents from the worlds of dance, pop and rock. Featured artists include Jónsi from Sigur Rós, Kele Okereke from Bloc Party, Nelly Furtado, Calvin Harris and Emily Haines from Metric, to name a few.

Some of the best remixers and producers in the business were handpicked by Tiësto to bring their supreme talents to the album. Included are remixes from Tiësto himself as well as Philip D, Avicii, Bart B More, Wolfgang Gartner, Ferry Corsten, Nic Chagall, Jonas Stenberg, and more…

Just under a year after the release of Tiësto’s daring artist album Kaleidoscope, the world renowned Dutch deejay/producer is set to release this new remix album.

“Kaleidoscope Remixed” is a companion to the original album, and features remixes of most of the tracks on the 2009 album.

It features brand new reworkings including Philip D’s Remix of ‘Who Wants to be Alone’ and Ferry Corsten’s remix of ‘Kaleidoscope’ plus a selection of the very best single remixes by the likes of Ali Wilson, Ferry Corsten, Jonas Sternberg, Nic Chagall and many more.

Kaleidoscope is the fourth studio album by Dutch trance artist Tiësto, released on October 6, 2009. (see 2009 in music). The album contains collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Emily Haines of Metric, Tegan and Sara, Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party, and Calvin Harris among others. The album also features a song with Sneaky Sound System which is the first single “I Will Be Here”. The album entered the dutch album charts at number 2 and also debuted at number 20 on the UK album chart. This album also debuted at number 5 on the lreland album chart.

Great remix cd of the best dance-cd ever made!

After the success of his original Elements of Life album, Tiësto returns with a brand new remixed edition.

All eleven tracks of the original album are presented in a remixed version, where the song ‘He’s A Pirate’ is now replaced with the previously unavailable ‘No More Heroes’, a track Tiësto especially recorded for the performances of the Blue Man Group during some of his Elements of Life World Tour concerts.

The remixes included were made by established artists like Cosmic Gate, Dirty South and Fonzerelli to name a few and several of these new versions have been played extensively by Tiësto during his Elements of Life World Tour.

Parade Of The Athletes

Parade of the Athletes is a retrospective mix by trance DJ/producer Tiësto of his live set performed during the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece on August 13, 2004 (see 2004 in music). This was the first time that a DJ was asked to perform for a ceremony at the Olympics. Recognizing one of their own, the Dutch team came up to the booth while Tiësto was performing this set. All of the songs on this track are original songs composed by Tiësto except for Adagio for Strings, which is his own remix of Samuel Barber’s piece by the same name (the remix was also influenced by William Orbit’s original electronic remix of the song in 1999), and “Athena”, which is also a remix of Albinoni’s Adagio in G minor..

The album contains 8 new tracks composed exclusively for the Olympic Games Athens 2004 Opening Ceremony, and 4 other well known tracks (Traffic, Lethal Industry, Adagio for Strings and Forever Today). An unmixed version was also released.

Just Be: Remixed is an album by Tiësto that was an exclusive iTunes album, but it has been made available via Nettwerk’s digital online music store, Napster and the Black Hole Recordings website. The songs on this album are remixes from Tiësto’s original album Just Be. The tracks named Adagio for Strings are remixes of the famous song with the same name by Samuel Barber.

“A New Dawn” – Tiesto New Mix Album Series

Tiësto announced his new mix album series today, to be entitled ‘A New Dawn’. Following his decision to part ways with Black Hole Recordings last year, Tiësto wanted to make a fresh start with his new wholly owned label, Musical Freedom and continue to innovate in an area in which he has been the clear leader for many years. Tiësto’s now famous In Search Of Sunrise series, concluded with ISOS 7 – Asia in 2008. The series has been extremely succesful worldwide and has since become the benchmark for DJ mix albums globally.

As fans and the industry have been speculating about when the next ISOS would be released, Tiësto felt it was necessary to make a statement about his intentions and clarify the situation:

“Having taken the ISOS series as far as I could, I felt it was time to leave the past behind and come with something fresh and new. ISOS was an incredible journey for me, but as my music taste evolved, I wanted my DJ mix compilation to evolve with it. Black Hole plans to release another ISOS album, but to be very clear, I will not be involved in any way. I sold my part of the company to Arny Bink and have no involvement or benefits of Black Hole Recordings.

The mix album has always been a very important part of my artistic expression as a DJ and I wanted to come with something really special that pushes the boundaries once again for what this format can be. We’re moving into a new era in terms of how music is released and I want to look at exciting new ways to express what I do and connect with my fans.

I am very happy to let everyone know that the title of this mix album will be ‘A New Dawn’, a name that means so much to me personally and signifies so many things in so many ways. It’s been an awakening in more ways than one! These past two years, I have been on a musical journey of discovery, culminating in my album and world tour with Kaleidoscope. Now with ‘A New Dawn’ I look forward to continuing that process, showcasing some amazing cutting edge electronic music from myself and others. As I continue to explore and develop as an artist and DJ, I am constantly inspired by those around me and the other artists I meet. I can’t wait to share it with the world!”

“Kaleidoscope: Remixed” Already in September!

“Kaleidoscope: Remixed” is going to be release in September, was announced by one Dutch music webpage. Faithfull Tiesto fans, are used for album remakes, it all started from “Just Be” and later “Element Of Life”. Remixed albums are also loved by fans, because famous producers/dj’s are being asked to make remixes for Tiesto tracks, this is a very good chance to promote themselves.

For today, it is known, that Philip D is going to prepare remix for one of Tiesto’s track. This track was recorded together with Nelly Furtado and is called – “Who Wants To Be Alone”. Tiesto said, that he really liked, Philip D feat. TLB work “Over You”, and decided to add him to the list with producers who are going to prepare remixed for his fourth solo album “Kaleidoscope”.

Released on the 31st of August 2010, Tiesto presents his latest album remake “Kaleidoscope Remixed” featuring producers like: Ferry Corsten, Nic Chagall, First State, Phillip D, and many more who prepared new remixes.
